FRANK J. SMITH, born Chicago, Illinois, March 21, 1949; Admitted to Illinois bar, 1982; United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, 1985; Federal Trial Bar, 1985; Preparatory Education, Loras College, Dubuque, Iowa (B.A., 1970), Chicago State University, Chicago, Illinois (M.S. Ed., 1974); Legal Education, DePaul University, Chicago, Illinois (J.D., 1982); Upon admission to the Illinois bar, became associated with the law firm of Orner & Wasserman, Ltd., Chicago, Illinois, where he specialized in insurance defense litigation from November 1982 to April 1987.

Prior to admission to the bar, Teacher at Saint Barnabas School and Holy Name of Mary School, The Archdiocese of Chicago, 1970 to 1976; Residential Counselor, The Chicago Association for Retarded Citizens, 1976 to 1978; Clinical Therapist, City of Chicago, Department of Health, Bureau of Mental Health, 1978 to 1982.
